Among the many vibrant music festivals and special events the neighborhood is famous for is the Fools Flotilla. Each June, hundreds of festooned boats float the Yahara River - a minute walk to the bridge from our home gives you a birds-eye view of the spectacle.
On any day, you can end your work day with a cooling swim or paddle in Lake Monona or the Yahara River (summer), or a walk or ski along the shores, both just footsteps away from your front door. If you get lucky, you may experience one of our good lake freezes that make for excellent lake ice skating. It's a truly a magical neighborhood right in the City.
